Produced in limited numbers, the Dan Wesson A2 pays homage to the most iconic and widely copied pistol design in history. Inspired by the legendary 1911 A1, the A2 represents Dan Wesson’s vision of what a third-generation military 1911 might have evolved into. Built for severe duty, the A2 features a lowered and flared ejection port, modern combat sights, a tactical beavertail, an extended thumb safety, and a subtle undercut beneath the trigger guard for enhanced control. Starting with a forged steel frame and slide, every component is individually hand-fit using premium-grade parts. The pistol is then hand-blended, bead-blasted, and finished in a classic matte blue. Double diamond walnut grips lend a timeless aesthetic, while a stainless steel match-grade barrel and a precision slide-to-frame fit ensure exceptional accuracy, making the A2 as capable on the range as it is striking in the hand.
