As stated in the included factory letter, this particular example was sold to the United States Government and shipped to the Commanding Officer at Benicia Arsenal in Benicia, California, on May 21, 1913. Originally shipped with a blue finish, as documented in its factory records, this firearm was later professionally refinished in nickel plating, enhancing both its appearance and durability, making it a unique and striking example of craftsmanship.
