The Winchester Model 63 is a classic self-loading .22 rimfire rifle produced from 1933 to 1958, representing the refined evolution of Winchester’s earlier Model 1903 design. Winchester updated the action to handle .22 Long Rifle rather than the proprietary .22 Winchester Automatic, giving the Model 63 much broader appeal and practicality. Built with a sleek blowback-operated action, a 10-round tubular magazine in the buttstock, and the high-quality walnut and machining typical of pre-1964 Winchester production, the rifle earned a reputation for exceptional reliability and smooth handling. Its take-down design also made it easy to transport and maintain, adding to its popularity among small-game hunters and recreational shooters.
 
Over its 25-year production run, the Model 63 saw subtle improvements—including a change to a 23-inch barrel in 1938—while maintaining the same elegant profile and precision craftsmanship that defined early Winchester rimfires.
