Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Beretta Model 1935 is a compact semi-automatic pistol produced by Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta and introduced as a companion design to the Beretta Model 1934. While the Model 1934 was chambered in .380 ACP, the Model 1935 was built to fire the slightly smaller .32 ACP (7.65mm Browning) cartridge, which was widely used by European military and police forces during the early 20th century. Like its counterpart, the Model 1935 utilized a simple and reliable blowback operating system with an open-top slide, exposed hammer, and frame-mounted safety. Its compact dimensions, combined with an 8-round detachable magazine, made it a practical and easily carried sidearm suited for officers, police personnel, and other service roles.

The Model 1935 saw widespread distribution throughout Europe and was used by Italian military and government organizations during World War II, as well as by various police forces and civilian users in the decades that followed. Known for its durable construction and dependable operation, the pistol remained in production for many years and became one of Beretta’s most recognizable early service pistols. Today, the Beretta Model 1935 is appreciated by collectors and historians for its historical role, classic styling, and its place in the evolution of Beretta’s military sidearms. Examples retaining original finish, wartime markings, or military provenance are particularly valued among collectors of European and World War II–era firearms.
