Built on the lightweight aluminum “D” frame, the Courier was Colt’s answer to the growing demand for compact, easily carried sidearms for both personal defense and law enforcement use. Closely related in design to the Colt Cobra, the Courier offered similar styling and handling but with a distinct twist—it was available exclusively with a 3-inch barrel, a unique choice that offered a balance between concealability and ballistic performance.
