Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Remington, one of the oldest and largest firearm manufacturers in the U.S., has produced the 500 series of .22 caliber semi-automatic rifles since 1941. Researching firearms from this era can be tricky, especially since, before 1968, some guns didn’t even have serial numbers. The Remington Model 550-1 was first introduced in 1946 and was produced till its discontinuation in 1970. The 550-1 features a different extractor than the early 550A Model, along with a few other minor changes. In any case, the 550 series consisted of wood-stocked rifles chambered in the .22 short, long, and long rifle cartridges and was fed by a tube magazine. Remington produced large quantities. The Remington 550-1 remains a classic, loved by collectors, including those focusing on tactical firearms. It’s a reliable shooter, cheap to maintain, and carries enough nostalgia to transport us back to those chilly Christmas mornings when your dad let you take your new rifle out for a spin, blasting cans.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
