The Winchester Model 12 is one of the most iconic pump-action shotguns ever produced, widely regarded as a benchmark for reliability, smoothness, and craftsmanship in American firearms history. Introduced in 1912 by Winchester Repeating Arms Company and designed by Thomas Crossley Johnson, the Model 12 was engineered as a stronger, more refined successor to earlier Winchester slide-action shotguns.
