The Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 represents the pinnacle of classic American bolt-action rifle craftsmanship, produced from 1936 until the major design changes of 1964 that marked the end of the original controlled-round-feed era. Renowned for its forged steel receiver, Mauser-style claw extractor, and exceptionally smooth action, the Pre-64 Model 70 set the benchmark for reliability, accuracy, and durability in sporting rifles.
