Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Remington Model 600 is a compact, purpose-built guide rifle that earned a reputation for being handy, quick to shoulder, and well suited to close-to-moderate range sport and field use. Chambered here in .222 Remington and finished in traditional blue, this example features the Model 600’s signature 18½-inch vent-ribbed barrel, a relatively short length for a bolt gun that keeps overall weight and length down useful for stalking, camp use, or when a shorter rifle is preferred. The action is a push-feed bolt-action, operating smoothly for rapid, positive cycling, and the receiver is drilled to accept optics (this rifle is optic-ready), making it easy to fit a scope for improved accuracy at distance. Cosmetic and handling touches a checkered hardwood pistol-grip stock and standard factory markings preserve the classic Remington look while offering a secure purchase and good control behind the rifle. Historically the Model 600 was produced from 1964–1968 (with Remington records indicating production finished in 1968) and was manufactured in a broad lineup of calibers; roughly 94,086 Model 600 rifles left the factory. The 600’s short vent-rib barrel and compact dimensions defined it as a guide’s tool and led directly to successor designs (the Model 660, the Mohawk 600, and later the Model 673). Collectors and shooters prize the Model 600 for its distinctive profile and utility; certain chamberings produced in very low numbers (notably early .223 examples) are especially rare and sought after. In the field, this .222 Rem Model 600 will be appreciated for its nimble handling, straightforward bolt-action reliability, and easy optics compatibility.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
