Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this single-action revolver today for a penny-start auction; this is the Colt Single Action Army General Meade Pennsylvania Campaign Model.
 
The Colt Single Action Army General Meade Pennsylvania Campaign Model commemorates Major General George G. Meade, whose leadership of the Army of the Potomac secured a decisive Union victory over Robert E. Lee at the Battle of Gettysburg in July 1863, marking a turning point in the Civil War and solidifying his place in American military history. This commemorative revolver combines Colt’s classic Single Action Army design with period-style engraving and markings referencing Meade and the Pennsylvania Campaign, creating a historically themed tribute rather than a standard production arm. Production was strictly limited to just 200 examples, with serial numbers ranging from 0001MC through 0200MC, making it a scarce and highly collectible issue. This example, serial number 0134MC, falls within that limited series and represents a distinctive blend of historical significance and traditional craftsmanship from Colt.

The Colt Single Action Army General Meade Pennsylvania Campaign Model is a commemorative revolver honoring Major General George G. Meade, whose command of the Army of the Potomac led to a decisive Union victory over Robert E. Lee at the Battle of Gettysburg in July 1863. That victory marked a turning point in the Civil War and secured Meade’s place in American military history. This revolver retains the classic Single Action Army profile while incorporating period-style engraving and special markings that reference Meade and the Pennsylvania Campaign, distinguishing it from standard production models and aligning it more closely with historical tribute than utilitarian service use.
 
Production of the General Meade model was strictly limited to 200 examples, serialized from 0001MC through 0200MC, making it a scarce and desirable collector’s piece. This example, serial number 0134MC, features a blued finish accented with gold highlights, a 5½-inch barrel, and faux ivory grips with inlaid Colt medallions, reinforcing its commemorative character. The rounded blade front sight and square-cut rear sight preserve traditional Single Action Army sighting, while the barrel marking “GEN. MEADE PENNSYLVANIA CAMPAIGN MODEL” clearly identifies its special status.
