Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this semi-automatic pistol today for a penny-start auction; this is the Colt Junior in .22 Short.
 
The Colt Junior was a compact pocket pistol introduced in 1957, with production beginning in 1958. Inspired by earlier Colt designs, it was marketed as a small, easily concealable firearm chambered in .22 Short or .25 ACP. Over 40,000 units were produced until 1968, when the Gun Control Act restricted the importation of non-sporting firearms, effectively halting production. To navigate the new regulations, Colt partnered with Firearms Import & Export (FIE) in Florida, which imported Spanish-made parts for domestic assembly. Production resumed briefly from 1970 to 1972, with Spanish-produced guns identifiable by a "CC" serial number suffix and U.S.-assembled models marked with an "OD" prefix. Ultimately, Colt discontinued the Junior in 1973.
