Markings: The left side of the slide is intricately engraved with the names of key World War II battles: “PEARL HARBOR . CORAL SEA . CORREGIDOR / GUADALCANAL . TARAWA . SAIPAN . LEYTE GULF . IWO JIMA . OKINAWA . TOKYO,” all bordered by decorative palm leaves, with additional palm leaf engravings at the rear of the slide. On the right side, the engraving reads “WORLD WAR II COMMEMORATIVE / PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS,” also bordered with palm leaves, with more palm leaf designs near the rear of the slide.

This stunning Colt Government Model 1911A1 pistol features a nickel finish and intricate engravings that commemorate some of the most significant battles in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II. With serial number 6177PTO, this limited-edition pistol is not only a masterpiece of craftsmanship but also a tribute to the sacrifices made during the war. The pistol is housed in a beautifully decorated wooden display case, designed with bamboo or a bamboo-like material, and adorned with additional engravings highlighting key battles. The top of the case is bordered with bamboo-like accents, and the top face is covered with a bamboo mat. Inside the lid, there is a striking image of the Japanese surrender at Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945, with a comprehensive list of battles beneath it. Embedded into the felt lining is a silver plaque that reads, "WORLD WAR II / COMMEMORATIVE / Asiatic – Pacific Theater / DECEMBER 7, 1941 – SEPTEMBER 2, 1945," bordered with palm leaves.
