The Colt Sauer sporting rifles, a joint effort between Colt’s Manufacturing Company and J.P. At the heart of these bolt-action rifles is an innovative, non-rotating bolt system with three internally cammed locking lugs that provide an exceptionally smooth and fast cycling action. Produced in a variety of calibers—including .270 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, .300 Winchester Magnum, 7mm Remington Magnum, and .375 H&H Magnum—these rifles were designed to handle everything from medium North American game to large, dangerous African species. Colt Sauer rifles came in several action types to accommodate the range of calibers offered. The Short Action housed smaller rounds like .22-250 Remington and .243 Winchester, while the Medium Action supported popular calibers such as .25-06 Remington and .30-06 Springfield.
