Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this beautiful commemorative set today for a penny-start auction; this is the Colt/Winchester Set.
 

In 1984, Winchester and Colt collaborated to manufacture a special commemorative set to honor their symbiotic relationship during Western Expansion. Winchester and Colt were the big 2 companies that aided in "winning the west" with their Iconic firearms. Colt's was the Single Action Army "peacemaker," and Winchester's was the Winchester Lever Action Rifle!

These sets were produced in EXTREMELY LIMITED NUMBERS, and many of them have been split apart over the years. A Complete Serial Number matching set as this RARELY surfaces on the open market and is feverishly sought after by collectors around the world!

The underside of the frame is marked “WX2042WC” and the bottom tang is marked “-Mfd. by U.S. Repeating Arms Co.- / -Winchester TM’s licensed from- / -Olin Corporation-”. Each side of the barrel has a gold foliate scroll with a Winchester logo on the left and the Winchester factory on the right. The sides of the receiver have a gold border and foliate scroll, Winchester cowboy logo, and ovalled “WC” on the left with a portrait of Oliver Winchester on the right. The top tang has Oliver Winchester’s signature in gold.
