This 1984 Colt/Winchester Commemorative Set was created to honor the historic partnership between two of the most influential firearms manufacturers in American history and their shared role in the westward expansion of the United States. Pairing a Colt Single Action Army revolver with a Winchester Model 1894 carbine, both chambered in .44-40, the set symbolizes the classic combination carried by settlers, ranchers, and frontiersmen during the late 19th century. Limited to just 4,440 sets, this example—numbered within that production—represents a shrinking pool of intact, matching sets, as many have been separated over time. Complete serial-number-matched sets rarely appear on the market and are highly sought after by collectors for their historical significance and visual impact.
