Gold Cup trophy national match combat commander super 38 delta elite
Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this RARE semi-automatic pistol for a penny-start auction…this is the Randall Firearms Service Model A112!
The Randall Firearms Service Model A112 in 9mm is an exceptionally rare and historically important 1911-style pistol. Produced for only a short time between January and July 1984, only 301 units were ever made, making it highly collectible. Notably, models with a “C” suffix in the serial number—like this one—feature a Caspian-built frame, adding even more value and rarity. As one of the first production pistols made entirely from aircraft-grade stainless steel, the A112 helped pioneer the now-standard use of stainless in duty pistols. It also introduced ten-groove “fat barrels” for improved accuracy and manufacturing consistency. With most of the 9mm models exported to Europe, U.S.-based examples are especially scarce. The A112 remains a standout piece in firearm history—both for its innovation and its extremely limited production.
The owner states that this example remains New Old Stock, and we see no evidence to indicate otherwise.

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Randall Firearms Service Model A112 in 9mm is a rare and historically significant example of early innovation in semi-automatic handgun design. Manufactured in a brief window between January and July 1984, this model was one of the first stainless steel production pistols of its kind, pioneering a trend that would become commonplace in the decades that followed. Constructed entirely from aircraft-grade stainless steel—including the slide, frame, and internal components—this full-size 1911-style handgun retained much of the original Browning design while introducing advanced metallurgy and modern production techniques rooted in aerospace engineering. With only 301 units ever made, the A112 is exceptionally scarce. Additionally, models with a serial number ending in "C"—such as this one—indicate the use of a Caspian-built frame, adding further rarity and collector appeal to an already limited production run.

This particular Randall Service Model features a 5-inch stainless barrel, fixed sights, and checkered walnut grips, combining duty-ready function with a timeless aesthetic. While the earliest examples were fitted with Colt-style barrels and six-groove rifling, Randall soon upgraded to a “fat barrel” with ten-groove rifling, enhancing both production consistency and shooting accuracy. The barrel diameter was matched to the .45 ACP version to standardize parts, streamlining manufacturing across calibers. This level of thoughtful engineering, along with the use of premium stainless steel, showcased Randall’s forward-thinking approach. Built on the classic 1911 platform, the A112 offered reduced recoil and smooth operation—qualities that appealed to both civilian shooters and law enforcement professionals.
Adding to its mystique, nearly 75% of Randall’s 9mm pistols were exported to Europe, making U.S.-based examples like this one even harder to find. The A112 accounts for just 3.2% of Randall’s total full-size, right-handed service pistol production. With Randall Firearms only operating from mid-1983 to 1985, their pistols are now prized collectibles, both for their scarcity and their significance in the development of stainless steel handguns. The A112 Service Model stands as a testament to bold innovation, quality craftsmanship, and a short-lived but impactful chapter in American firearms history.
