Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this outstanding falling-block single-shot rifle today for a penny-start auction, this is the Ruger No. 3 Carbine.
On this particular example, the factory's original .223 Remington barrel was rechambered and rebored to a 3-groove .357 Remington Maximum by JES Reboring in Cottage Grove, OR.

The Ruger No. 3 is a single-shot rifle distinguished by its straightforward yet robust Farquharson-style hammerless falling-block action, designed as a more economical counterpart to the venerable Ruger No. 1. Manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co. from 1973 until 1986, the No. 3 was introduced to offer classic single-shot performance in a more accessible package, featuring a simplified action and a plain, uncheckered walnut buttstock paired with an uncheckered walnut forend secured by a barrel band, giving the rifle a distinctly practical, utilitarian aesthetic. Standard factory sights typically consisted of a brass or gold bead front sight mounted on a blade base, complemented by a folding, adjustable leaf rear sight. This example will ship with the matching factory box with all the paperwork, 1" Burris Zee Rings, one 20-round box of .357 Maximum 180-grain Hawk Soft Point ammo, three 20-round boxes (60-rounds) of .357 Maximum 180-grain Hornady XTP ammo loaded by Reed's Ammunition & Research, and 100 pieces of once-fired .357 Maximum Starline headstamped brass. (Please note that the ammunition will ship separately.)
