Markings: Standard / The top of the barrel is marked “1 of 3000”. The left side of the receiver has scroll engraving surrounding a game scene with two gold elk. The right side of the receiver has scroll engraving surrounding a game scene with a gold buffalo and is also marked with the serial number.

This is a Browning Model 1886, which is a reproduction of the original Winchester designed by John Browning. The 1886 model came after 1876, providing a much stronger action that could withstand larger and more powerful cartridges such as the .45-70, which was the U.S. Army's issued rifle cartridge at that time. Later on, the design was reduced for the Model 1892. This particular modern reproduction has the same action and was produced as a limited edition in 1986, with only 3,000 units made. If you're a Browning or a Winchester collector, this piece is sure to grab some attention!
