Ruger invested in expensive machinery to produce the Red Label, allowing for consistent and precise manufacturing. Initially offered in 20 gauge with a 26-inch barrel, the Red Label was praised for its affordability, reliability, and exceptional handling. The introduction of a 12-gauge model and a scaled-down 28-gauge version expanded its appeal to a wider range of shooters.
