The Anschütz Model 64 MPR (Multi-Purpose Repeater) is a German-manufactured bolt-action rimfire rifle built on the company’s Model 64 action and designed as a versatile precision sporter for both target shooting and field use. The Model 64 MPR was available in a standard blued finish and an optional SS (stainless steel) configuration. This rifle represents the stainless version, which features a 25 1/2-inch heavy stainless steel barrel paired with a blued receiver, creating a distinctive two-tone appearance while offering enhanced resistance to corrosion and wear. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, the rifle feeds from a detachable five-round box magazine and is equipped with the Anschütz Model 5098 fully adjustable two-stage trigger, allowing adjustment of pull weight and sear engagement to deliver a crisp, consistent break. The receiver is machined with an 11mm dovetail for scope mounting. The walnut stock incorporates a wide beavertail forend and raised cheekpiece to promote stability and consistent eye alignment. A Picatinny rail mounted on the underside of the forend allows for the attachment of a bipod or other accessories. While positioned below Anschütz’s Match 54 competition rifles within the company’s lineup, the Model 64 MPR SS reflects the firm’s reputation for precise machining, smooth bolt operation, and strong rimfire accuracy.
