Introduced in 1989, the SP101 was engineered as a sturdier alternative to lightweight carry revolvers, featuring a solid frame with no side plates and a triple-locking cylinder system that provides enhanced alignment and structural integrity under recoil. Most commonly chambered in .357 Magnum—while also capable of firing .38 Special—the revolver delivers substantial power in a relatively compact package, and has also been offered in calibers such as .327 Federal Magnum and .22 Long Rifle. Barrel lengths typically range from 2.25 inches to over 4 inches, allowing users to choose between maximum concealability and improved sight radius and control.
