The HK45T model is nearly identical to the HK45, but it includes factory-installed Meprolight night sights and a threaded barrel for mounting a suppressor. Initially, only 2,000 black pistols were planned for production, making them limited in availability. Additionally, the tan and green variants are even rarer, with only 1,000 of each color planned for production!

The HK45 is a handgun that can fire standard .45 ACP ball ammunition. It combines the accuracy, modularity, reliability, and minimum 20,000-round service life of the USP45 with improved ergonomics. The HK45 Tactical model comes with a threaded barrel and night sights and is available in three frame colors: green, tan, or black. It uses an ergonomic grip design with changeable backstraps and molded finger grooves for better shooting. The HK45 Tactical also features a 10-round steel magazine and a Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail for attaching lights and accessories. Additionally, it has HK's unique internal mechanical recoil reduction system, which reduces recoil forces by up to 30% and uses an O-ring barrel for precise barrel-to-slide lockup and optimal accuracy. The HK45T suits military, law enforcement, security use, and civilian sport shooting. Variant 7 models use HK's unique LEM (Law Enforcement Modification) firing system for improved double-action trigger pull without manual safety/decocking lever.
