Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Made in the spirit of 1873, the Uberti / Taylor’s & Co. Smoke Wagon is an improved, second-generation, stagecoach-style single-action revolver that pays homage to the legendary Colt Peacemaker with historically inspired craftsmanship and rugged frontier character. A Taylor’s exclusive, this revolver features a checkered Navy-size walnut grip with a thinner profile and a low-sitting hammer, giving it a distinctive silhouette and improved handling over traditional single-action models. It is built on a forged case-hardened steel frame with blued barrel and cylinder components, combining modern durability with period-correct style and providing a striking, enduring appearance. Chambered in .357 Magnum, the revolver is fitted with a 5.5-inch barrel and a fixed blade front sight paired with a fixed notch rear sight, delivering a traditional sight picture faithful to the original 1873 design. Offered in both a standard configuration and a Taylor Tuned version, the Taylor Tuned Smoke Wagon includes a hand-polished internal action, lightened trigger pull, and custom performance springs, providing a crisp, responsive shooting experience right out of the box. Designed to capture both the functional performance and historical authenticity of frontier-era single-action revolvers, the Smoke Wagon seamlessly blends rugged handling with classic Western styling. Whether carried for Cowboy Action Shooting, displayed as part of a collection, or simply appreciated for its storied character, this revolver stands out as a versatile and iconic tribute to one of the most enduring firearms of the Old West.
