The TALO USA Government Edition is a premium, limited-run version of Colt’s iconic Government Model 1911, produced in partnership with TALO Distributors, Colt, and renowned metalsmith Pete Single to benefit USA Shooting. Released in 2020 and limited to 1,475 units—of which the first 25 were hand-engraved “Gold Medal Editions”—each pistol carries a distinctive “USA” serial prefix. This .45 ACP, Series 70 firearm features a National Match barrel, spurred hammer, staked sights, polished slide flats in royal blue, and custom roll marks. Pete Single enhanced it with 25 LPI frontstrap checkering, a beveled magwell, 30 LPI arrowhead slide serrations, chamfered ejection port and slide stop, recessed crown barrel, and a high-enhanced trigger guard—metalwork typically reserved for boutique gunsmiths worth triple the price. Each piece comes with classic Colt wood grips and is sold cased, with a portion of the proceeds supporting Olympic shooters through USA Shooting.
