*LIVE* Browning BDA-380 .380ACP Nickel 3.75" *BERETTA/BROWNING COLLABORATION*

Bryant Ridge's Analysis

The Browning BDA-380 is an Italian-made semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380 Auto and double/single action. This model features classic wood grips and has a 13+1 capacity. The BDA .380 Pistol is based on the proven Beretta Model 81 and/or 84 design. These models were offered in .32 ACP and .380 ACP, with FN Herstal manufacturing the .32 ACP variants for European markets, and Beretta manufacturing the .380 ACP variants at its own factories on behalf of FN Herstal.

Beretta did not sell these pistols under its branding. Instead, the .380 variants by Beretta were sold as Browning BDA 380 by Browning Arms Company for the North American markets. The Beretta/Browning models are distinguished by their markings. The right side of the slide is marked "Fabrique National Herstal" with the FN logo followed by "Made in Italy," and the left side of the slide has markings "Browning Arms Co. Morgan Utah & Montreal, P.Q." The production of the FN 140DA pistol was discontinued in 1987, while the Beretta/Browning version was withdrawn circa 1997.
