The S&W 945 is a single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It comes with eight-round magazines with Performance Center markings. The pistol is available in a bead-blasted stainless finish or a polished blackened finish. It features an ambidextrous frame-mounted thumb safety and beavertail grip safety. The slightly beveled magazine well ensures quick and easy reloads of the 8-round magazines. Although the S&W 945 closely resembles a 1911, it is not compatible with 1911 magazines, and vice versa. The extended magazine release allows for easy engagement but has a firm spring to prevent accidental release. Positive firm engagement with the magazine release is required to drop the magazine.
