Bryant Ridge's Analysis

It's a country where a man has room to grow. A hefty, hard-muscled land big enough to hold both ranchers and oil-riggers. Symphonies and spacemen. The Alamo and Astrodome. Where past and present meet and reach out for the stars. Texas. Frontier of freedom for 125 years. A land of diverse heritage even before achieving statehood on December 29, 1845, Texas stands enriched by the bearers of six different flags. A land where men of wisdom and faith like Stephen F. Austin nurtured a tiny band of American settlers into a virile nation-to-be. Soldier-Statesman like Sam Houston who fought to preserve Texas in war and ably served to guide her in peace. Leathery cattleman who opened the Chisholm Trail. Texas oilman who pioneered an empire of black gold. Firm-handed fore-fathers whose vigorous modern descendent is the still-growing Texas of today. For the Lone Star state, two new Winchester Commemoratives for 1970. The Lone Star Commemorative Model 94 Rifle and Carbine in tribute to this proud heritage.

The Winchester-Western Division of Olin Corporation has designed and built a commemorative rifle and carbine in honor of the State of Texas, frontier of freedom for 125 years.
