*SOLD* 1977 Winchester 94 .30-30 Win Blue 16" *LEGENDARY LAWMEN COMMEMORATIVE*
Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Winchester Model 1894 rifle, also known as the Winchester 94 or Model 94, is a lever-action repeating rifle that was designed by John Browning in 1894. It originally used two metallic black powder cartridges, the .32-40 Winchester and .38-55 Winchester, but in 1895, it became the first rifle to use the smokeless powder round, the .30 WCF (Winchester Center Fire), which later became known as the .30-30. The rifle was produced by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company until 1980 and later by U.S. Repeating Arms under the Winchester brand until 2006, when they ceased manufacturing rifles. Reproductions of the rifle are now being made by the Miroku company of Japan and imported into the United States by the Browning Arms company of Morgan, Utah. The Model 1894 is often referred to as the "ultimate lever-action design" by firearms historians and was the first commercial sporting rifle to sell over 7,000,000 units. This rifle is a Model 1894 "Legendary Lawmen" commemorative, a special edition produced in 1977. It is chambered in 30-30 WIN and boasts a receiver plated in silver, adorned with intricate factory engraving on both sides. The deluxe hardwood stock showcases a premium walnut grain, complete with checkering and an inlaid silver-colored round coin featuring a star badge outline, etching, and a lawman at its center. On the right side of the receiver, you'll find a paisley engraving depicting "Legendary Lawman" alongside a scene of a lawman on horseback, rifle in hand, set against a mountainous backdrop. The left side features a similar paisley engraving with a bordered scene of another lawman.
