*SOLD* 1985 Smith Wesson 49 .38 Special Blue 2" *COLLECTIBLE NO-DASH MODEL*

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:

The .38 S&W Special double-action revolver is built on the round butt J-frame with a shrouded hammer and 3-screw design, nearly identical to the Model 38 but featuring a heavier steel frame. It has a 5-shot, fluted cylinder with a nominal length of 1.53 inches. The revolver comes with a round butt J-frame, available in blue or nickel finishes, and a fat latch thumbpiece found in all three variations. It is fitted with a 2-inch barrel, although 3-inch barrels are rare. The revolver also features a 240-inch shrouded service hammer, a 312-inch smooth trigger, and a 1/10-inch serrated ramp front sight with a square-notch rear sight. The Model 49 marks the first carbon steel-framed version released by Smith & Wesson, following the Airweight Model 38 introduced in 1955.
