Bryant Ridge's Analysis

Designed to compete with Colt's 1873 single-action, the 1875 Remington revolver has a similar, yet distinctive look all its own. Around 25,000 of these sleek six-shooters were turned out from1875-1889, and were held in high esteem by many Westerners, including none other than the notorious outlaw Frank James, who praised its handling capabilities, as did noted 1880sTexas Ranger Bill McDonald. It was also the choice of the U.S. Department of the Interior, who purchased several hundred in 1883 as an issue sidearm to Indian police on frontier reservations. Cimarron's 1875 Outlaw is available in either the 5 1/2-inch or the 7 1/2-inch barrel lengths. The calibers offered are .357 Magnum/.38 Special, .44 WCF, or .45 Colt (7 1/2-inch is also offered in .45 Colt/.45 ACP with dual cylinders). This 1875 Outlaw comes in a stunning nickel finish. Uberti's 1875 Model has captured the looks and feels of this frontier smoke wagon that has also been catching on with today's silver screen cowhands and has seen use in such popular westerns as Open Range, Broken Trail, and 3:10 To Yuma. The Outlaw is a true Western classic!
