*SOLD* 2006 Ruger P89 9mm Stainless 4 1/2" *DOUBLE-ACTION SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL*

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:

The Ruger P series, manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Company from 1985 to 2013, represents a versatile lineup of centerfire semi-automatic pistols intended for military, police, civilian, and recreational use. While the P-series pistols draw design inspiration from the Browning action of the M1911, they feature notable modifications, including adjustments to the safety mechanism and barrel-cam block interface. Known for its ruggedness, reliability, and durability, the P-series has been praised for its strength. However, this robust construction results in a somewhat bulky and blocky appearance. The Ruger P89, an evolution of the P85 MKII, introduced several new features, including a Double Action Only (DAO) variant. Like its predecessor, the P89 was built with an investment-cast aluminum alloy frame. In 1992, Ruger released a limited-edition P89X convertible model, which came with an additional barrel and recoil spring assembly, enabling users to switch between 9 mm and .30 Luger calibers. This special edition was produced in a limited run of just 5,750 units in 1994. As one of the most popular and widely available models in the P-series, the P89 was discontinued in late 2009.
