*SOLD* Bersa Model 83 .380ACP Blue 3.5" *ARGENTINE SEMI-AUTO DOUBLE-ACTION PISTOL*
Bryant Ridge's Analysis
The Bersa 83, a double-action pistol chambered for 9x17mm Browning Short (.380 ACP), was manufactured by Bersa from 1988 to 1994. Known for its compact design, accuracy, reliability, and affordability, the Bersa 83 quickly gained popularity as a choice for self-defense and concealed carry. It succeeded the 383 DA in 1989, eliminating the external slide catch in favor of an internal mechanism. This change allowed users to release the slide from the lock-back position simply by pulling it back slightly further before letting it return to the battery. After five years of production, the Model 83 was succeeded by the aluminum-frame, single-stack Series 95, and shortly thereafter, Bersa introduced the Thunder Series, which includes the Thunder 380 and its various models.
