The SIG P210, known as the Pistole 49 in Swiss Army nomenclature and originally designated the SP47/8 for civilian markets before 1957, is a notable locked breech, self-loading, semi-automatic pistol produced by SIG in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland, from 1948 until 2006. This firearm was developed to replace the outdated P06/29 Lugers in the Swiss military, showcasing SIG’s commitment to innovation and quality in firearm design.
