Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this single-barrel break-action shotgun today for a penny-start auction; this is the Browning BT-99 Grade III.
 

The Browning BT-99 Grade III Scroll with Adjustable Comb is a limited-production single-barrel trap shotgun, with only 100 examples manufactured. It features special scroll-engraved receivers paired with Grade III walnut, giving it a refined and upscale appearance, while the adjustable comb allows the shooter to tailor fit and point of impact. This combination of rare production, upgraded wood, and competition-focused features makes it both a highly collectible and practical shotgun.

The Browning BT-99 Grade III Scroll with Adjustable Comb represents a premium and highly limited variation of Browning’s well-known single-barrel trap shotgun, with only 100 examples manufactured. Designed for dedicated trap shooters who also appreciate fine presentation, this model combines competition-ready features with upgraded materials and decorative elements. Its silver nitride receiver is enhanced with special scroll engraving, setting it apart visually from standard BT-99 models, while the Grade III walnut stock and forearm add both aesthetic appeal and improved ergonomics. Offered in 32- and 34-inch barrel configurations, the Grade III Scroll edition reflects Browning’s intent to produce a collectible shotgun that still performs at a high level on the trap field. This 2003-produced example, serial number 02488MX171, is chambered in 12 gauge with a 2¾-inch chamber and fitted with a 32-inch ventilated rib barrel using an Improved Modified choke. A fiber optic front sight with white mid-bead supports fast target acquisition, while the adjustable comb allows the shooter to fine-tune point of impact for consistent results. The gloss-finished checkered black walnut stock is complemented by a Kick-Eez recoil pad for improved shooting comfort. With its combination of limited production, special scroll engraving, Grade III wood, and competition-oriented features, the BT-99 Grade III stands as a distinctive blend of collector interest and practical trap-shooting performance.
