Based on the Sa vz. 58 adopted by the Czechoslovakian Army in 1957, the VZ2008 is manufactured from combining Sa vz. 58 components with a new semi-auto milled receiver with a traditional wood stock set. While the vz. 58 may share a resemblance to the AK47, mechanically it is completely different and no parts are interchangeable.
