According to our research, the Colt Custom Shop only produced two sets of these Pythons, and this set is the only one that shipped!
The other set never shipped to a dealer or distributor.

The Python is back! Building on Colt's Snake Gun legacy, the legendary double-action revolver returns in stainless steel in a 3" barrel lengths! The 2021 Python features modern stainless steel alloys and a re-designed rear sight. Thirty percent more steel beneath the rear adjustable target sight gives you a stronger revolver and a more robust shooting experience. A recessed target crown, user-interchangeable front sight, and Walnut grip with the iconic Colt medallion make this a gun you'll want to shoot AND show off. The Python is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accommodates .38 Special cartridges.
These Pythons, along with only one other set, were produced in the Colt Custom Shop and finished in a Black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating. Stainless cannot be "Blued," so some consider this the future for those who want the blue/black look but the durability of a stainless gun.
Serial number PY239161 is a standard 3" Python, while PY239162 and PY239163 feature Armory Style B+ Engravings. PY239162 was engraved before it was finished in the DLC coating, and PY239163 was engraved afterward.
