Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this SIMPLY STUNNING single-action revolver for a penny-start auction; this is the Colt Single Action Army 3rd Generation!
According to the accompanying factory letter from Colt, this revolver features Factory Class “A” custom engraving and was originally shipped to Aaserud Import, Tunagarden Farmen 27, 300 Drammen, Norway on December 18, 1991, under Colt Factory Order #3869. Additional notes reveal that the revolver was later returned to the Colt factory and subsequently sold as a used firearm to Kiesler Police Supply, located at 3300 Industrial Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana, on December 12, 1998.
This Colt Single Action Army is a particularly rare and intriguing example from a limited production run known as the “European Model,” chambered in 9mm Luger—a highly unusual caliber for the SAA. Only 270 of these revolvers were produced in 1991 and 1992, each featuring a striking nickel finish and Colt Class A factory engraving, making them especially desirable to collectors.
