Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Rohm RG10 is a small, inexpensive, double-action/single-action revolver originally produced by Röhm Gesellschaft, a German firearms brand known for making extremely low-cost pocket guns primarily for the U.S. market in the 1950s through the 1970s. It is typically chambered in .22 Short with a six-shot cylinder and a short barrel of roughly 2½–3¼ inches, fixed simple iron sights, and lightweight, compact dimensions that made it easy to carry but also reflected its budget-oriented design philosophy. Constructed largely from pot metal or zinc alloy with only critical components made from steel, the RG10 was manufactured as an ultra-affordable defensive revolver, often selling for nominal prices even when new; this construction kept costs down but also made the gun notoriously flimsy and prone to wear, cylinder timing issues, and frame looseness over time. The double-action trigger pull is widely described as long, heavy, and gritty, with only slightly better single-action feel, and the crude sights and light weight further limit practical accuracy and control. Because of these limitations, the RG10 and similar Rohm revolvers were often categorized as “Saturday Night Specials”—cheap, compact handguns with minimal refinement—gaining a degree of infamy in firearms culture and regulatory debates. Today they are mostly of historical or collector interest rather than practical use, serving as examples of how economic pressures shaped a class of firearms that prioritized low entry cost over performance, longevity, or precision.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
