The CZ 75 P-01 Omega is a modern tactical variant of the compact CZ-75 platform produced by Ceská zbrojovka Uherský Brod, combining the renowned ergonomics of the original CZ 75 with a simplified and versatile trigger system known as the Omega system. Chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum, this version features a 4.5-inch threaded barrel that extends beyond the slide to accommodate suppressors or other muzzle devices, making it particularly appealing to tactical shooters and enthusiasts seeking suppressor compatibility in a compact CZ platform. The pistol operates on the traditional short-recoil, locked-breech system characteristic of the CZ-75 family and retains the distinctive internal slide-rail design, in which the slide rides inside the frame rails, a feature that contributes to excellent slide-to-frame fit, a reduced bore axis, and enhanced mechanical accuracy. The P-01 Omega features a lightweight aluminum alloy frame paired with a steel slide, striking a balance between durability and manageable carry weight, while its compact dimensions maintain the handling qualities that made the P-01 popular with law-enforcement and military units. A key advantage of the Omega trigger system is its simplified internal design and the user's ability to easily configure the pistol with either a manual safety or a decocker, allowing the shooter to choose between cocked-and-locked carry and traditional double-action/single-action operation.
