The CZ Shadow 2 SA is a specialized competition handgun produced by Ceská zbrojovka Uherský Brod and represents a single-action variant of the highly respected CZ Shadow 2 platform. Designed specifically for competitive shooting disciplines where maximum trigger precision and fast follow-up shots are essential, the Shadow 2 SA eliminates the traditional double-action capability found on most CZ 75-pattern pistols and instead operates strictly in single-action mode, meaning the hammer must be cocked for the first shot and the slide automatically re-cocks it for subsequent shots. This design allows the pistol to feature an exceptionally light, crisp trigger pull with a short reset, making it particularly well-suited for precision shooting and action-pistol competitions. Chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum, the pistol is built on a heavy all-steel frame with an extended dust cover, which adds weight to the front of the firearm and significantly reduces muzzle rise, helping shooters maintain control during rapid fire. Like other pistols in the CZ 75 family, the Shadow 2 SA uses a short-recoil, locked-breech system with internal slide rails, where the slide rides inside the frame rails rather than outside them, contributing to a lower bore axis and smooth cycling. 
 
The pistol typically features a 4.89-inch cold hammer-forged barrel, an adjustable rear sight paired with a fiber-optic front sight, and aggressively textured aluminum grip panels that provide excellent control during high-speed competition shooting. The frame also includes deep checkering and an undercut trigger guard that allows a higher grip on the pistol, further improving recoil management. Feeding from high-capacity double-stack magazines usually holding around 17 to 19 rounds of 9mm ammunition, the CZ Shadow 2 SA combines the proven reliability and ergonomics of the CZ 75 design with a competition-focused trigger system, making it a highly regarded option among competitive shooters who demand precision, speed, and consistency from a factory-produced handgun.
