The Davis Industries P-380 is a compact, single-action, semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380 ACP. It was introduced in the early 1990s and produced until the company closed around 1999–2001. The pistol features a 2.8-inch barrel and a 5-round magazine. Constructed primarily from a zinc alloy known as Zamak, it weighs about 22 ounces and was offered in either a bright chrome or black Teflon-type finish, with black synthetic grips standard. The P-380 featured a rotary thumb safety that blocks the trigger and sear and locks the slide, while still allowing limited rearward movement to check the chamber. The trigger is generally described as having a firm pull, and the design provides a compact option in the .380 ACP caliber suitable for concealed carry.
