The Diamondback DB380 is an ultra-compact, polymer-framed defensive handgun produced by Diamondback Firearms and designed specifically for deep concealment and everyday carry. Introduced in the late 2000s, the DB380 is chambered in .380 ACP and was engineered to be extremely lightweight and slim while still offering the familiar ergonomics and operating style of larger modern striker-fired pistols. The pistol features a locked-breech, short-recoil operating system rather than the simple blowback action used in many .380 pocket pistols, which helps reduce felt recoil and allows the gun to be built lighter while still maintaining reliable function. With a barrel length of approximately 2.8 inches and an unloaded weight of only about 9 ounces, the DB380 is small enough for pocket carry while still providing a usable grip and a six-round detachable magazine.
