Item Description
Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this lever-action shotgun for a penny-start auction, this is the Marlin Model 410.
This example is a standout collector piece, produced in extremely limited numbers and originally offered only through a special Marlin stockholder program, making examples like this seldom encountered on the open market. Beyond the scarcity, it presents with game-scene engraving that elevates it well above standard production guns and gives it the kind of visual presence collectors immediately recognize. The combination of exclusive distribution, .410 desirability, and engraved presentation makes this the type of Marlin that doesn’t just fill a spot in a collection—it becomes a centerpiece.

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Marlin Model 410 is a rare, historically significant lever-action .410 shotgun that highlights Marlin Firearms’ experimentation with repeating small-bore shotguns in the early 20th century. Produced briefly in the late 1920s to early 1930s, the Model 410 combined the familiar Marlin lever-action mechanism, long celebrated in rifles like the 1894 and 336, with a smoothbore barrel chambered for .410 bore shells, creating a lightweight, rapid-firing shotgun suitable for small-game hunting, pest control, and target shooting. Its tubular magazine ran parallel beneath the barrel, allowing multiple rounds to be loaded and cycled quickly via the lever, a feature unusual for .410 shotguns at the time, which were almost exclusively single-shot or break-action designs. The shotgun typically featured a plain walnut stock with a straight grip, a blued barrel of approximately 24–26 inches, and simple bead front sights, reflecting Marlin’s utilitarian approach to design and its focus on function over ornamentation. Despite its mechanical ingenuity, production numbers were extremely limited, largely due to the Great Depression and the niche market for repeating .410 shotguns, making surviving examples today extremely rare and highly collectible. The Marlin Model 410 remains an intriguing piece of firearm history, representing one of the few attempts to adapt the iconic lever-action system to the .410 shotgun platform, combining speed, reliability, and small-game practicality in a single compact package.
