Central to the PDX’s performance is Maxim’s patent-pending SCW™ stock system, which features a 4-inch rapid-deploy stock with an integrated bolt carrier group and interchangeable buffer weights, providing enhanced recoil control, quicker follow-up shots, and improved reliability across calibers. Up front, the rifle features Maxim’s proprietary HATEBRAKE™ muzzle booster beneath the handguard, a device that not only reduces felt recoil and flash signature but also redirects gases forward of the shooter, which is especially valuable when suppressors are used or when firing heavier cartridges from a short-barrel platform.
