Using the iconic 930 JM Pro-Series competition shotgun as a baseline, Mossberg engineers and the Miculeks redesigned key performance areas—including the gas system, loading port, point-of-aim/point-of-impact consistency, ergonomics, sighting system, and choke system—to create the all-new 940 autoloading platform. The advanced gas system is engineered to run up to 1,500 rounds between cleanings and reliably cycle quality 2 3/4- and 3-inch ammunition, while the enlarged, competition-ready loading port and redesigned elevator allow fast quad-loading straight from the factory. A precision-engineered barrel ensures consistent POA/POI, and the slim, ergonomically textured stock and forend offer fully adjustable length of pull, drop, and cast for a custom fit.
