The right side of the slide is stamped “CAL.7.62MM / MADE IN CHINA”. The 9mm barrel is stamped “9mm”, and the 7.62x25mm Tokarev barrel is stamped “7.62mm”.

The Navy Arms Co. Model TU-90 is a Chinese-manufactured, Tokarev-pattern semi-automatic pistol imported into the United States by Navy Arms Company of Ridgefield, New Jersey, primarily during the early to mid-1990s. Based on the long-established TT-33 Tokarev design, the TU-90 shares the same basic mechanical layout, including a short-recoil operating system with a Browning-type locking system, and closely parallels other export-oriented Tokarev variants. The model was produced in both 7.62x25mm Tokarev and 9×19mm, reflecting the commercial export practices of Chinese manufacturers catering to the U.S. civilian market during the post–Cold War period.
