The Para USA (Para-Ordnance) 1911 Black Ops is a full-size tactical variant of the classic Colt 1911 platform that blends traditional single-action design with a suite of modern, duty-oriented enhancements, crafted to appeal to shooters seeking a rugged, accurate, and versatile defensive pistol. Built on a forged stainless steel frame and slide, the Black Ops features a 5-inch match-grade, ramp-type barrel with a 1:16" twist, and it is typically chambered in .45 ACP, feeding from 8+1-round single-stack magazines—though Para later offered higher-capacity variants such as the “14-45” double-stack version. The exterior is finished with a black Ionbond PVD coating, which is exceptionally hard and corrosion-resistant compared with standard bluing, providing a tactical matte-black appearance and real durability under heavy use.
