They were excited to offer the first-ever Dance Dragoon commemorative recreation for this strictly limited edition. This working black powder firearm is specially built for America Remembers by master craftsmen using parts from F.lli Pietta. Every stunning Tribute has a skillfully polished antique coin nickel finish, is hand-engraved, using the traditional, time-honored hammer-and-chisel method, in a Plains Indian motif, and is embellished with solid 18-karat gold busts of Geronimo. This revolver is true to the original Dance Dragoon created during the Civil War as a Texas copy combining features of the 2nd Model Colt Dragoon and 1851 Colt Navy. Both revolvers are renowned for their strength and reliability, the only difference between the two is that the Dance Dragoon has no cylinder scene and does not have a recoil shield.
They were also very excited to be working with renowned author Dennis Adler on this issue. The author of Colt Single Action – From Patersons to Peacemakers and Guns of the American West, recognized worldwide as a leading authority on antique firearms. Thanks to Dennis’s invaluable support and assistance in researching the design motifs for this gun, they were able to offer this stunning and unique Dance Dragoon commemorative firearm.
