Compared to the ubiquitous Nylon 66, the Remington Nylon 10 Single Shot is widely regarded as the more collectible and elusive variant of Remington’s famed nylon-stock rimfire series. With only approximately 8,606 examples produced between 1962 and 1964, the Nylon 10 stands in stark contrast to the massive production of the Nylon 66, of which an estimated 675,052 Mohawk Brown models alone were manufactured. This dramatic disparity in production numbers makes the Nylon 10 far scarcer on today’s market, elevating its desirability among collectors who value rarity, historical significance, and unusual configurations. As a result, the Nylon 10 has earned a well-deserved reputation as a standout collectible within the iconic Remington Nylon family.

Produced from 1962 to 1964 in limited numbers, with only approximately 8,606 examples manufactured, the Nylon 10 was part of Remington’s pioneering Nylon series, which utilized advanced synthetic materials to reduce weight, enhance durability, and resist environmental factors. Featuring a Mohawk Brown nylon stock and a bolt-action, single-shot configuration, the rifle was chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle, making it versatile for training, small game hunting, and recreational shooting.
