The Rossi / Interarms Model 92 SRC “Puma” is a Brazilian-made clone of the legendary Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine, manufactured by Amadeo Rossi S.A. and imported into the U.S. by Interarms (Alexandria, VA) from the mid-1970s through the late 1990s. Typically configured with a 20-inch round barrel, full-length magazine tube, and a saddle ring on the receiver’s left side, these carbines were offered in popular revolver calibers such as .357 Magnum/.38 Special, .44 Magnum, and .45 Colt, with capacities ranging from about 8 to 11 rounds. Most examples feature a blue finish with hardwood stocks, though stainless variants were also produced. Many rifles were roll-marked "INTERARMS – ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA” with some sporting a distinctive puma medallion near the saddle ring. Interarms-imported guns are particularly desirable because they typically lack the bolt-top safety that Rossi added on later LSI-imported models, preserving the original look and function of the 1892 design.
