SPECIFICATIONS:
The Schrade Scrimshaw 507SC is a classic American-made lockback folding knife, known for its distinctive white Delrin handle featuring etched wildlife artwork in the traditional scrimshaw style. This particular model, marked "J. Duffy 93," was produced in 1993 and showcases the work of artist J. Duffy, one of Schrade’s contracted scrimshaw illustrators. The handle depicts a detailed bobcat stalking a rabbit, capturing a dramatic moment from nature and adding unique artistic value.
The knife features a single clip-point blade made of durable Schrade+ stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and edge retention. Brass bolsters, pins, and liners add strength and vintage appeal. It also bears the serial number 0183 stamped on the brass bolster, indicating it was part of a limited edition production run.
The knife measures approximately 5 inches closed and comes with its original Schrade-branded leather sheath. Produced in Schrade’s Ellenville, New York facility before the company ceased U.S. operations in 2004, this model is part of the highly regarded Scrimshaw Series and is sought after by collectors for its craftsmanship, artistry, and nostalgic Americana appeal.
